What a fantastic tavern. The Camp is a donation based camp, so worth it! One of the best managed and greatest value bars around. Terri and her partner took over this pub a few years ago and they have done an amazing job with turning it around into the popular and profitable tavern it is today. You won’t believe it when you see it, most pints are only $5 each and that is all day every day. Then to top that off, they even had Somersby cider on tap for $5 a pint as well. How good is that. So we settled in for the afternoon to drink cider and play games of pool, only to find out that the pool table is free to play too. No wonder this bar is full of happy, helpful and friendly locals. So we sat there chatting to Terri and the locals for ages and had a ball. Loved the place and will definitely be back for a feed next time as everyone says the pizzas and food are great too. A must visit if you are in the area.
A friendly tavern with great atmosphere. Pizza and Pasta Bar open Wednesday to Saturday nights. You can’t miss the tavern; look for the spectacular artwork on the wall. Council provides a free RVfriendly campground at Rotary Park, a short stroll from the Boulders Tavern and central shopping area. No bookings are required. The maximum length of stay is strictly 72 hours, after which a person must not return to the camping area to camp within 14 days of departure, Council regularly patrols the campground to ensure compliance. No power, dump point available and coin-operated hot showers. The camp is suitable for vans, motorhomes and campers alike. Babinda is a pretty sugar cane town approx one hour south of Cairns. A must see is the Babinda Boulders swimming hole. All access crystal clear river swimming 5km away.
