Gympie Music Muster 2018 Camping

Camp Spots July 4, 2018

Gympie Music Muster is located 40-kilometres south-west of Gympie, the Muster is an easy drive 2-hours north of Brisbane, just 40-minutes from stunning Noosa and heritage listed Fraser Island. The 20-minute forest drive from Amamoor is accessible for all vehicle types.

So, Google it.  Signposts are few and not many cowboys to ask on the #1 highway, Pacific Coast Way at 110kmph, running from Brisbane to Cairns.  However, Google likes the backwaters and will take you off-highway to the Muster site.  Scenic.  If you are approaching northbound, you may want to keep on the motorway until Exit 253 to the Mary Valley Link road.  Less Scenic but certainly quicker.  Save your coins for a post-festival car wash.

A shuttle bus runs between the Muster site and Gympie Music Muster 2018. Timetable, pricing and booking details will be made available closer to the event.

Dates: 2018 Gympie Music Muster will begin on

GENERAL CAMPING

We have a few big bush paddocks with plenty of space so your neighbours are not listening to you scrape the mud (or polish the dust) off your boots each night. You will see the stars, hear the music, boil your billy and have plenty of space to hang your hat – all for the price of your festival ticket.  That’s right … general camping during the festival is free, free, free.

You will be run off the Flat if you crank up a generator before 6am or after 10pm, take your ute on a donut circuit, chase the cows or hunt the roos.  Our dedicated community groups bring the firewood to you – chopping up trees to stoke your pit is a no-no.

Access to general camping and day parking areas opens 9am Wednesday 22 August, 2018 (rope off permits required outside this time).  Final goodbyes by 10am Tuesday 28 August 2018. Day tickets include access to the campground from 6am the day of the ticket, until high noon the following day.

The Rural Fire Brigade determine rules and regulations regarding campfires, dependent on weather and local conditions.  On site camp wardens will provide up to date advice.  To protect our forest and other campers’ tents, fires must be within a fire ring.  Our friends at Brooweena State School deliver firewood to the campground up to 3 x daily from August 13 (two 10kg bags for $15) and hire fire rings for $10 a pop (free with firewood purchase).   Two Mile State School sell 3.5kg bags of ice for $5 from 18 August – flag them down as they drive through the campground.

Dogs are not permitted on the festival site or in the campgrounds.

A limited number of campsites for people with a disability are allocated close to the festival precinct.  Bookings essential via (07) 5482 2099 prior to the start of Muster.  Current disability parking permit required.

Camping made better with the comforts of home … hire your own private toilet for your campsite from $250 – book direct with Event Portables Australia.

ROPE OFF

Bring your favourite rope and peg out your favourite camp site.  Ahead of the herd. Permit required: a rain-proof copy (laminating & plastic sleeves usually do the trick) must be displayed on a site no larger than 8 x 8 metres.  Obscured text or barcodes will void the permit.  Maximum of six people per site.

BANJO’S TENTS

Our greatest ballad author lends his name to this piece of camping poetry – the best digs for those who don’t want to bring their own.  Canvas floor (boots off at the door), lighting, mattresses, and up to three beds per tent.  Tables and chairs, a mobile phone recharge station, bacon, eggs and coffee at the exclusive Banjo’s canteen Friday to Sunday, and a chauffeured ride to the festival entrance on our free shuttle bus.  Security, hot showers and cool toilets, only for Banjo’s customers.

BYO thread count and take your washing with you, or invest in one of our linen packages which include blankets, pillows and sheets.  Pack your own towels and toiletries. Pay for 4 nights and we will allow you a jumpstart on the mob – Wednesday arrival to watch the herd meander in.  Purchase your Muster tickets separately.

Check in before 10pm. Check out by 10am.  1 car per site only. Extra pack horses stabled in the day car park.  Book your site.

NASHVILLE

Like being in the Branding Yard at muster time, Nashville is in the heart of the action.  Flat 9 x 12 metre reserved sites a short stroll to the festival entrance.  Ideal for caravans, RVs and larger vehicles.  BYO power.  Dedicated amenities.  Limit of 8 people per space.  Access from 28 July 2018.  Purchase your festival entry separately.  Secure your site.
