Happy 2019 everyone! We have recently just returned from our trip to the UK and I didn’t realise how much I missed our Aussie Summer.
While we were away we sat down and set some goals for what the year ahead would hold and we kept coming back to one theme- travel. We have ventured to the UK three times in the past three years, but we feel like we are missing out on what our beautiful country has to offer. The open road and our Lotus Belle tents are calling us and we are excited to share with you our adventures.
While researching campsites that are suitable for not only us, the kids but possibly the dog too, I have found a great Facebook community called Everything Camping Australia. This little gem is filled with like-minded people who are sharing tips, tricks, and amazing camping spots. The group is run by Camp-spots.com who I have found to be a wealth of knowledge and have inspired me for this blog.
White sands and crystal blue waters are calling my name and I have found 5 must have campsites to visit in NSW this Summer.
Surrounded by Myall Lakes National Park, Treachery Camp offers its guests an unspoiled coastal retreat just to the south of Seal Rocks. Camping, cabins and lodge accommodation are available
On one end of the park is the local bowling club, where you can get a good feed if required. There are some great walking tracks close by if that’s your pleasure and a lovely beach at your doorstep.
Prepare to fall in love at Reflections Holiday Parks Scotts Head. Pretty, pristine and so very peaceful, this dog-friendly holiday haven is the ideal spot to take time out from the mundane and make time for the truly memorable.
Coledale Camping Reserve is a beautiful location right on the beach, walking distance to the nearby saltwater pools. Shower/kitchen/toilet/laundry facilities are good for the price. Great spot to launch to see Royal NP and Figure 8 pools.
Beachcomber Holiday Park Potato Point NSW offers sites that are absolute beachfront or in more shaded areas backing onto the breathtaking Eurobodalla National Park.
The view and location are just fantastic. Tucked away down a track in a secluded location. There is wildlife all around and the kangaroos and wallabies come up to your door. The whole place has a really special feel. You can simply relax or go for walks and explore.
Patonga Caravan Park is an amazing little gem of a camp spot which is nestled away on the peninsula and is just the spot you want to be at to unwind. Patonga Caravan Park is just 90 minutes from Sydney and offers million dollar views, a lake that is so stunning it’s calling your name.
Most people stumble on this little gem and like the rest, you will never look back. The best time to book is in the low or shoulder season, however, if you have young kids the best time to book is in school holidays.
The above campsites are all available to view and read about on camp-spots.com and if you click on the link heading you will be taken straight to the page.
