We managed to free up a weekend and made tracks to Kirra Beach Tourist Park. This is one of them parks that seems to be a bit forgotten as it’s down the far end of the Gold Coast. This is has to be a win for the weekend as we pretty much had the park to ourselves.
So once again the Friday drive was a bit rough, but that was ok as it is a very close trip from home. The kids had no issues and never did I hear the dreaded words “are we there yet”. Finding the park was easy and the entrance is very modern and has plenty of room to park while you go in to reception.
The staff where more than helpful, letting us pick the best spot we wanted and had no issues doing as much as they could to make us feel at home.
The grounds are big and spacious and ideal for families. The toilet and shower blocks are very clean and large.
The park is very kid friendly and they had cupcake decorating for the kids (which as free) and was a huge hit with the kids.
The swimming pool is an added bonus and is very clean and well looked after, my kids loved it.
This park is a unsung hero of the Gold Coast and would be great for larger family and or groups. It is close to everything and is still quiet enough to make you think you are further away from city life than you really are.
Will we go back? You bet ya, in a heartbeat.
So what are you waiting for, book your next holiday at Kirra Tourist Park and it may just become one of your families favorites like it has ours.
